About Us...
We have a limited number of Golden & Labrador Retrievers that live with us in our home as part of the family. Our love of these two breeds has grown into a hobby which brings us great joy. We spend a lot of time with our dogs playing, training, and just enjoying life. We also try to stay active in kennel club Conformation Shows, Hunt Tests, and Obedience Trials, as time and money allows.

Toby was shown to his Canadian championship by co-breeder Robyn Hershberg. Toby, like many of our dogs, also earned his AKC "Canine Good Citizen" certification.
"Candyheart's Monty Python, CGC." An excellent working field dog, Monty is trained to the Junior Hunter level & shows great potential for reaching even higher levels of training. He also holds an AKC Canine Good CItizen certificate.

We make the decison the breed a litter when we want to keep a new pup for ourselves as our next family pet and future hopeful for our discriminative breeding program. The pups we keep usually begin training for show, field, or obedience after passing health certifications. Our hope is that they will eventually earn titles in one or more areas of competition and be good enough to eventually produce a litter of their own in which to pass on all the qualities that make them truely outstanding examples of their breed. We like to compete with our dogs, not only for the wonderful bonding experience working with your dogs brings, but also because we believe in holding our dogs to the strict standards set forth by the NLRC (National Labrador Retriever Club). Since our dogs are treasured members of the family, and never just kennel dogs, they are very well socialized, loved, trained, and cared for.

The pups we do not keep for oursleves will be placed as pets. Families are selected after a very careful screening process. Only responsible, loving, long-term homes will be considered, and all pups must be spayed or neutered at an appropriate age.
Since we keep show/breeding picks for ourselves, we do not offer show or breeding pups for sale, however if you are interested in participating in events or competitions with your pet, there's still plenty of fun to be had in agility, obedience, hunt tests, and even certified therapy dog work.
Puppies are born in a cozy whelping area inside our home, in a bedroom where I can keep a close eye on them, never far away or out of sight.

Our puppies are sent to their new homes with an extensive puppy care package that includes, but is not limited to, a current health certificate from a licensed veterinarian, complete parent info with photos of both parents, copies of their kennel club certified pedigrees, and genetic health information from the OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) & CERF (Canine Eye Registration Foundation), a starter bag of food (Purina One Large Breed Puppy) and vitamin supplements (NuVet Plus), information on raising, caring, training, and socializing your new puppy, and a signed copy of our written sales contract and two year money-back health guarantee.

Because we care a great deal for our dogs and puppies, we will always be available to address any questions or concerns you may have regarding your puppy. In addition, if at any time during the pup's life you find yourself in a position where you are no longer willing or able to care for it, we will be more than willing to either welcome it back here with us or to assist you in finding it a loving new home.
While our dogs are a large part of our life and a great source of pride and joy, we do have other interests and hobbies as well. For example, I enjoy photography, web design, fishing, and spending quality time with my family.
I was born a natural animal lover who has always had various pets as part of my daily life. Along with multiple Goldens & Labs, we also share our home with a Bulldog, four neutered cats, a flock of chickens, & a few reptiles & amphibians.
